Man sentenced after exposing himself to members of the public

48-year-old Kiran Rabdiya, of Stanmore, London, has been found guilty of exposure and possession of a class A drug following a trial at Truro Crown Court.

The conviction follows his arrest on 14 September 2024 after he was reported to us for acting suspiciously in Newquay during the early hours of the morning.

We worked collaboratively with Newquay Council CCTV to search for the man, who they sighted exposing himself on a nearby road to passing motorists.

He was arrested and a quantity of cocaine seized.

Appearing before the court on 6 August 2026, Rabdiya was sentenced to three months imprisonment, suspended for 24 months.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for seven years, complete 100 hours of unpaid work and undertake 20 days of rehabilitation activity.

A breach of the suspended sentenced will result in jail time.

We remain committed to tackling this type of behaviour, supporting victims and pursuing those who are responsible for these offences to ensure they are brought before the courts.

This case reflects our force's ongoing commitment to tackling sexual offences.

Between January and June this year, the force has brought about the conviction of 138 perpetrators of sexual offences.

55 of these convictions were for rape - the perpetrators were sentenced to nearly 400 years’ imprisonment between them.
